Anthropic launches Claude Fable 5 broadly and Mythos 5 for vetted partners

Anthropic released two versions of its Mythos-class model: Fable 5 for general use with safeguards, and Mythos 5 with some safeguards lifted for vetted cybersecurity and biomedical partners. Both are priced at $10 input and $50 output per million tokens, and Fable 5 routes flagged cyber, bio/chem and distillation requests to Claude Opus 4.8. For developers, this introduced a tiered-access pattern where the same model ships with different capability limits depending on who is using it.
