GPT-5.4 adds native computer use and up to 1M tokens of context

GPT-5.4 arrived in ChatGPT (as GPT-5.4 Thinking and Pro) and the API, adding native computer-use abilities, up to 1M tokens of context and a tool search feature that OpenAI says cuts tokens by 47% in tool-heavy setups. API pricing was set at $2.50 input and $15 output per million tokens. For developers, it folded coding, computer use and large tool catalogs into one general model rather than separate specialist ones.
