GPT-5.5 rolls out to ChatGPT and Codex with a 400K context window
GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.5 Pro rolled out to paid ChatGPT plans and to Codex with a 400K context window, with API pricing announced at $5 input and $30 output per million tokens. OpenAI reported 82.7% on Terminal-Bench 2.0 and 78.7% on OSWorld-Verified, while keeping per-token latency in line with GPT-5.4. For developers, it improved agentic coding and computer-use results without a latency penalty.
