OpenAI launches GPT-6 Astra, billed as its most capable and most aligned model

OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 Astra, which it calls its most capable and most aligned model, through ChatGPT, the API, Azure and AWS Bedrock, priced at $10 input and $50 output per million tokens. OpenAI rated its cyber capability at the Critical level of its Preparedness Framework and made the model refuse advanced cybersecurity tasks by default, with defensive access through a separate program. For developers, it is the new top-end option for computer use and long, complex tasks, with notably stricter cyber restrictions.
